Our founding attorney, David R. Paoli, has been a licensed attorney since 1986. David grew up in Great Falls, Montana. He graduated with honors from the University of Montana School of Law and has held a Super Lawyers designation since 2009. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2007 and has an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell*, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. David served as a law clerk to Judge Jack D. Shanstrom, United States District Court and on the Montana Human Rights Commission. Attorney Paul M. Leisher graduated with honors from the University of Montana School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Paul served as an editor-in-chief of the Montana Law Review and founded the University of Montana Criminal Law Student Group. After graduating, Paul clerked for Justice Jim Shea of the Montana Supreme Court from 2014 to 2015. Paul currently serves pro bono as a volunteer attorney for the Montana Innocence Project.

Legal Staff Ready To Assist You
Melany Imes, our office manager and David Paoli’s legal assistant, has been with the firm since 2004. She graduated from the St. Regis High School in St. Regis, Montana in 2000. In May of 2004, she graduated from the University of Montana with her B.S. in Business Administration, emphasizing in management. Melany has attended numerous paralegal conferences, including Medical Records Management and Montana Trial Lawyers Association Paralegal Seminars. Melany assists mainly with cases involving serious personal injury and wrongful death, automobile crashes and semi-truck accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, bad faith and insurance disputes. In addition to her work, Melany enjoys camping, photography, road trips, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rebecca Murphy has been a legal assistant with the firm since July of 2004. Becky is originally from Minnesota, but graduated from Sentinel High School and attended the University of Montana. Becky enjoys her work and appreciates the variety of different cases she is able to work on at Paoli & Leisher. Becky has assisted in several trials in Missoula, Great Falls and Billings. In her free time, Becky enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, reading and taking care of her Chocolate Lab.
