Johnson & Johnson Found Guilty in Ovarian Cancer Trials Related to Talcum Baby Powder

A St. Louis, Missouri Jury found Johnson & Johnson guilty in causing a South Dakota woman's ovarian cancer as a result of years of using talcum baby powder.  In May 2016, the jury ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay the woman $55 million.

In February 2016 a jury verdict was returned in the amount of $72 million to the estate of an Alabama woman who also died as a result of ovarian cancer resulting from the use of Johnson & Johnson's baby powder.

Evidence revealed that Johnson & Johnson knew about the risks of using its talcum baby powder and failed to warn consumers of the same.
